Maarten focuses his attention on all aspects of employment law, such as dismissal proceedings, reorganisations and employee representation issues. He advises many national and international companies, works councils and employees, often including managing directors under the articles of association. Maarten graduated cum laude from Nijmegen University in 1995 and subsequently joined NautaDutilh. He is a member of the Association of Rotterdam Labour Lawyers.
